We are a family run company with a team of designers, fabricators and joiners driven by a common passion to build the best luxury modern stair systems.

Together we have designed, engineered and brought to market industry leading floating stair systems. Each one expertly crafted from the very best materials here in the UK.

Our forward thinking, lean manufacturing processes allow us to build your stair system and have it delivered to you in as little as 6 weeks.

Our history dates back to 1999 when Bob Searl founded his first metalwork company.
We began Feature Stairs Ltd to pursue our passion for modern stair design and to solve the traditional problems faced when purchasing modern stairs.

Customer service is paramount to us. We’re proud to be a small company and we plan to keep it that way, this enables us to offer a personable service larger companies cannot. We treat every project as if it were our own, providing the best products and the best customer service.

What we do.

Our range of high end stairs are designed to the finest detail. Offering a beautiful contrast of precision engineered wood, glass and steel.

We believe that details matter, our designs are laser cut and CNC machined to incredible accuracy, with concealed welds & fixings for a superior finish, each one expertly engineered and robustly tested to meet Building Regulations and British Standards.

From initial enquiry we will guide you through all the available options to enable you or your client to make informed decisions.

We carry out a full site survey then design your stairs using our 3D CAD software, creating a full 3D model for approval before beginning manufacture, allowing us to refine every detail.

All our stairs are manufactured here at our Essex based facility by our highly skilled team of designers, fabricators and joiners using state of the art technology, we welcome factory visits at any time. When complete, each stair is fully test assembled in our factory to ensure the perfect fit and finish when it arrives at your home.

Our in house fitting team carry out the complete installation of your stairs to our extremely high standards, with no on-site welding or joinery required, our fitting methods are safe, efficient and non disruptive to your home.
